This past May, I had the pleasure to sit down the Matthew Remski to talk about everything from social action to the Internet to poetry to mantra to the magic of telling mythic stories to a child.
Matthew is one of those figures whose career is hard to pin down; it's taken so many directions. He's an activist, an Ayurvedic therapist, a yoga teacher, an author, a musician and a poet. And he speaks of each of these areas of study with insight, clarity and curiosity.
Many of you may know him as an active critic of what he's been known to call "Yoga Land." Matthew brings a critical insider's look into traditions and gurus at times that sometimes go unquestioned. It was great to have the opportunity to speak to Matthew's about his upcoming book, Shadow Pose: A Secret History of Abuse and Healing in Modern Yoga.
Thank you, Matthew for taking the time to speak with me. I learnt so much.
